Healthy Mocha Smoothie

Equipment: blender, glass cup, straw


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower rice  
  • 8 ounces of cold brew coffee  
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds 
  • 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein  

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend for 2 to 3 minutes.  
  2. Pour the liquid into a glass cup, add a straw, and enjoy! 

Variations:

  • Use water in place of coffee to make drink caffeine-free. 
  • Use chocolate plant protein to make drink plant-based.  
  • If you prefer fresh cauliflower rice, add ice to keep drink cold. 

Notes:

  • Does not store well so best to enjoy it fresh.

Nutrition Notes:

  • Whey protein is a great source of protein.  
  • Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamin K. Chia seeds are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids.  

Savings Tip:

  • Frozen cauliflower rice is cheaper and lasts longer but you can always opt for fresh cauliflower rice.
