What It Is

The Health & Well-being Program coordinates activities and events that encourage faculty and staff to live healthy lifestyles and foster a culture of health throughout the campus. Through a holistic approach to well-being – which includes physical, emotional, social/community, purpose/spiritual, environmental/sustainability, occupational/intellectual, financial/legal, and safety, support, and compliance – we promote a balance of these domains to positively impact overall health.

Health & Well-being Programs and Activities

  • Our flagship program is USC Healthy Campus, an initiative that aims to incorporate health and well-being into the daily work life of faculty and staff ensuring a healthy campus for all.
  • We deliver presentations, events, and wellness challenges to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Past presentations include the Healthy Habits webinar series, past events include the Great American Smokeout, and past wellness challenges include the Fight On! Football Wellness Challenge. Visit our Events page for the latest.
  • Customized presentations and workshops for schools and units can be conducted virtually or in person upon request. We ask for at least four weeks advance notice.
    • Topics include creating healthy habits at home and at work, ways to refuel your body and mind, and ways to conduct healthy and productive meetings.
  • Through LifeWorks for USC, benefits-eligible employees have access to even more digital resources to support health and well-being.
  • Our Health & Well-being Resource Directory provides an inventory of all USC programs for faculty and staff, categorized by our domains of well-being:
