Lean and Green Smoothie

Equipment: blender, glass cup, straw


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen spinach  
  • 8 ounces of water  
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds 
  • 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein  

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend for 2 to 3 minutes.  
  2. Pour the liquid into a glass cup, add a straw and enjoy! 

Variations:

  • Use any plant-based milk or regular dairy milk instead of water milk for a creamier texture.  
  •  Use plant protein powder instead of vanilla whey protein to make the drink plant-based. 
  • If you prefer fresh spinach, add ice to keep drink cold. 

Notes:

  • Does not store well so best to enjoy it fresh.

Savings Tip:

  • Frozen spinach is cheaper and lasts longer but you can always opt for fresh spinach.
