Steamed Fish with Tomatoes

Equipment: steamer, steamer rack, lid


  • Snapper filet: 4 oz
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved: 2 oz
  • Ginger, sliced: 2 tsp
  • Olive oil: 1/3 tsp
  • Salt and pepper: 1/5 tsp


  1. Pour 1.5 cups of water into the steamer. 
  2. Place the fish filet on the steamer rack surrounded by the tomatoes.
  3. Drizzle the fish with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. 
  4. Place ginger on the filet and cover the steamer. 
  5. Steam over moderately low heat. When the water begins to boil, steam for about 4 minutes.
