The USC WorkWell Center is pleased to share programs and resources to help USC faculty and staff move more throughout the day. Whether you are working remotely or on-site, we encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities to improve your health & well-being and contribute to a culture of movement at USC!
These programs and resources are made possible through partnerships with Environmental Health & Safety, Health Plans, Occupational Therapy, Office of Transportation, Recreational Sports, and Yoga USC.
Programs and resources
WalkUSC
WalkUSC is an on-campus and remote program led by volunteer faculty and staff aimed at creating a culture of movement and social connection through group activity. If you’re looking to improve your health, get outside, and connect with colleagues across campus and remotely, consider joining a weekly event to walk, roll, or move in any way you prefer with WalkUSC!
To learn more and join the groups, visit the WalkUSC webpage.
Yoga USC
Yoga USC is a home base for all yoga related activities on the USC campus. It serves as a resource guide for existing departmental classes, an educational tool for greater understanding of yoga’s many benefits, and offers specialized classes designed to bring together students, faculty and staff.
For more information, visit the Ask a Question page to contact Sara Ivanhoe, Yoga Director of Yoga USC.
Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports offers USC faculty and staff the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports at various levels of competition. Participation is more leisurely than Club Sports as competition ranges from one-day tournaments to six-week leagues. The goal of Intramural Sports is to promote an active lifestyle and positive work environment.
Health Assessment Incentive
The Vitality site offers several resources to empower you for healthier living, including the opportunity to craft personal health goals and work toward them with a motivational “points” system. Earn points by healthy eating, checking in at the gym, or reading one of the thousands of articles on the site covering nutrition, fitness, and other wellness topics. You can also link your fitness device to your Vitality account to help track your progress. WorkWell Center activities count too!
To qualify for next year, you must complete the online Vitality Health Review and achieve Silver Status (2,500 points) by the deadline. For more information, visit the Employee Gateway.
